Join Paul Miller, Artistic Director of the Orange Tree Theatre, and Laura Irwin, Curator of the Museum of Richmond, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Orange Tree Theatre. From a room above the Orange Tree pub to an award-winning producing theatre, this talk will highlight the Orange Tree Theatre’s extraordinary history which has ensured the continuation of Richmond’s rich theatrical tradition.

The Orange Tree Theatre, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, is the subject of an exhibition at the Museum of Richmond from December 2021 to mid-2022.

Paul Miller is the Orange Tree Theatre’s second artistic director. He was previously associate director at Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre and took over when Sam Walters, the UK’s longest- running artistic director, retired in 2014.

Laura Irwin is the Curator of the Museum of Richmond. Before joining the Museum in February 2021 she held curatorial posts at Christ Church Picture Gallery in Oxford and Dr Johnson’s House in London. Laura has a BA Hons in History from King’s College, London and a MSt in British and European History from the University of Oxford.
