Whilst Richmond is justifiably renowned for its fine 18th-century architecture and the contribution it makes to shaping the historic character of key parts of the town, its 20th-century architecture and design deserve equal attention.
In this illustrated talk, local architect and architectural historian, Paul Velluet, President of the Richmond Local History Society and a former Chair of The Richmond Society, will suggest and discuss buildings and structures designed and built in the town through the 20th century that might be considered as exemplars of the best in architectural and structural design of the period – including a number formally recognised under The Richmond Society’s Awards Scheme and other national schemes.
This joint meeting with the Richmond Local History Society will be at Duke Street Church, Duke Street, Richmond TW9 1DH on Wednesday 23 April at 7:30pm. Doors open at 7:00pm with wine and soft drinks available.
Free for members in person or online. Members will be e-mailed a Zoom link shortly before the meeting should they wish to join online.
Non-members may attend in person for £5. Get your tickets on Eventbrite.
