What was it like living in the town of Richmond during the 1970s? Come along and share your memories of the decade that, famously, “taste forgot”. But was this actually true locally? Do you remember bell bottoms and floral dress shirts? What about music and entertainment locally – was there a favourite disco or club?

More seriously, there was a spirited debate about Richmond’s future with many potentially disastrous developments abandoned as the result of public pressure. Above all, there was no consensus about what to do with the crumbling buildings on Hill Rise which would become the Riverside development. What were your views about these plans? And what were the other issues locally?
