David will speak to us about William Douglas, 4th Duke of Queensberry (1724–1810),  popularly known as Old Q. Arguably the town of Richmond’s most disreputable 18th-century resident, he was a clubman and a devotee of The Turf and had a reputation as a womaniser, a lecher, a high-stakes gambler and, not least, a cheat.
