The Society’s team, Richmond Rovers, came top of the league at the borough-wide local history quiz on 2 September 2015 at Richmond’s Old Town Hall. The quiz was held as part of Richmond Local Studies’ Know Your Place heritage festival<\/a> which runs throughout September. In the Know<\/em>, the Local History Quiz Night at Richmond’s Old Town Hall, on 10 September 2013, organised by Jane Baxter and Richmond’s Local Studies team as part of Richmond upon Thames Heritage Festival<\/a>, was a great success. Seven teams fielded questions from Bamber Gascoigne, and the winning (or should that be wining?) team was… the Richmond Local History Society! Two of our committee members were in the Wizzards team of Richmond Heritage Guides who came a close second.<\/p>\n
