{"id":6016,"date":"2020-06-04T17:45:31","date_gmt":"2020-06-04T16:45:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.richmondhistory.org.uk\/wordpress\/?page_id=6016"},"modified":"2021-01-18T15:40:00","modified_gmt":"2021-01-18T15:40:00","slug":"richmond-park","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.richmondhistory.org.uk\/wordpress\/history-of-richmond\/richmond-park\/","title":{"rendered":"Richmond Park"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>King Henry\u2019s Mound \u2013\u00a0 in Richmond Park \u2013\u00a0 which may have been a Neolithic burial barrow, has now been <a href=\"https:\/\/historicengland.org.uk\/listing\/the-list\/list-entry\/1457267\">listed by Historic England as a scheduled monument.<\/a> <\/strong>King Henry\u2019s Mound is located within the public gardens of Pembroke Lodge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Did Henry VIII stand on the mound to watch for a sign from St Paul\u2019s Cathedral (which is visible from the mound) that Anne Boleyn had been executed at the Tower of London?
