The Society hosts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.richmondhistory.org.uk\/wordpress\/events-2\/forthcoming\/\">evening talks &#8211; typically on the second Monday of the month,<\/a> organises walks and visits, and publishes an award-winning journal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.richmondhistory.org.uk\/wordpress\/journal-2\/\"><em>Richmond History<\/em><\/a> along with books on various local interest topics.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Follow us on social media and subscribe to our newsletter to stay updated on upcoming events, recent discoveries, and other news.<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><big>Activities<\/big><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From September to May we have a programme of monthly talks, with renowned historians and local experts delving into various aspects of our history. We\u00a0 connect with other local societies and our members can take part in events such as the annual West London Local History Conference.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Walk in the footsteps of those who came before us with guided tours of local historical sites and landmarks.\u00a0 Our visits also include houses and buildings of historic interest across London.<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><big>Publications<\/big><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since its inaugural publication in 1985 The Society&#8217;s journal, <em>Richmond<\/em><em style=\"line-height: 1.714285714; font-size: 1rem;\"> History, <\/em>has served as a repository of knowledge, insights and stories that highlight the significance of Richmond&#8217;s past.\u00a0 Comprising articles contributed by members and experts from various eras of history, the Journal has become an invaluable resource for local historians, researchers and scholars alike.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Journal and other RLHS publications are on sale at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.museumofrichmond.com\/\">Museum of Richmond<\/a>, local bookshops and\u00a0\u2013 with a discount for members\u00a0\u2013 at the Society&#8217;s meetings.
